The HPOA is once again proud to sponsor one of our local children to head to Camp Pendleton to attend a program designed for older teens to attend a boot camp. It gives them an outlook on what the military is like if they are thinking of enrolling in a branch in the future. It also is a lot of tough physical work and closely resembles actual boot camp training. The young man we sponsored sent us a letter thanking the HPOA for sponsoring him and we look forward to actually meeting him at the Devil Pups graduation later this month.

HPOA in the community

The HPOA was recently made aware of one of our local children with autism. His name is Elias. He was accepted in the 4 Paws for Ability program (www.4pawsforability.org) to give him an autism service dog. Elias's family was trying very hard to raise money for the trip to Ohio to pick up the dog as well as the program itself.
